I did a photoshoot with The Wahas on Monday, around Surry Hills.
THE PHOTOSET!
& we have the article/interview up on TEETH. Check it out and tell us what you think.

In other news, last night I went to watch Prom Night and it's possibly one of the worst movies ever. I wasted my life watching it, the only thing making it better were the other people in the audience who were really funny. I give it 2/10.

Die! Die! Die! & Talons at The Oxford Art Factory.
PHOTOS

Then we wandered off to a Chapel Street party.

& then to the Basser College at UNSW where we wrote random/strange/funny/creepy love notes to people and slid it under their doors in the early hours of the morning.

So we stopped by the Surry Hills Festival after photocopying and putting together TEETH's first zine (at Oxford Street's Kinko's whcih is the best place to photocopy/make zines in my opinion.. we're planning to have 3 am zine making sessions in there.)

Sunday:
We ventured down to Wollongong for the zine fair!
Fun times.
Both photos shot by The Fetus.

Yves Klein Blue EP Launch at Spectrum (Darlinghurst) with Flying Foxes as support.
Amazing music. So many people.
:)

Flying Foxes
Yves Klein Blue
I took quite a lot of photos, despite the fact that Spectrum has the infamous bad lighting.
& I was using my 50mm most of the time and since it was packed and it's a small venue, the shots came out quite interesting.
Black and white saves the day.

Then we hung out on Oxford Street where I took photos of people we knew/didn't know coz we didn't want to go in any place in particular.

Tennis and Lions At Your Door at SwiftLove (a new night which happens in Candy's Apartment at King's Cross). PHOTOS!

The lighting was reaaaaaly crap but the music was nice and loud. And the bands were cool :)

So we ventured to Pet Cem afterwards and around 2 ish, they started playing this really loud deafening trance music (no joke, I thought my eardrums were gonna burst) and started turning on and off really bright lights... what's the deal?

In other news, TEETH. (we'll get a real domain name soon!)

The Stray Assembly at their first gig at the Hopetoun Hotel (Surry Hills).

MORE PHOTOS!
Wow, I haven't been to the Hopetoun since the first time I ever taken band photos back in October '07 (downstairs is pretty awesome in a trashy sort of way.)

Pinball!

& A new portrait... The Fetus!

Last night/late afternoon was a fundraiser show at the Annandale Hotel with a bunch of bands. I got to see Bridezilla and The Scare. It was the first time seeing Bridezilla for me and really listening to their music. I really like them. Quite magical.

The Scare were amazing as usual. This is one band you have to see live at least once in your life. They are insane.

It was my second time at the Annandale (last time was seeing the Horrors) and I didn't realise the lighting was pretty good. I took a lot of photos... click click click.

I don't usually focus on the lead singer more than the rest of the band but in this case I did just because they were in such a good light.

I went to Semi Permanent for the first time. Pretty awesome. Shitloads of people, I was quite surprised. It was interesting to hear how the speakers got into what they do, how their company works, their processes, etc etc.
I thought it was rude when people would walk out like 10 minutes before each speaker ends, just to skip the large mass of people. I'm just saying it's rude.
After I checked out the Kids Today exhibition at the MTV Galleries on Yurong Street. So so many people, we couldn't get in. I was supposed to take some Wahas photos for TEETH but we didn't get in so what can you do. We went back like 40 minutes later..
I liked most of the art there.

Hung out outside taking portraits of most of The Wahas.

I got to see Ghostwood, The Rakes & The Jesus And Mary Chain at the Enmore Theatre last night (it was a last minute decision). I was there to take some shots of Ghostwood for Scorpio Music..
I'm not used to the 3 songs only rule so I kind of freaked out. And the bad red lighting wasn't helping.. (thank god for RAW).
The bands were really awesome. Great music.
The Rakes' lead singer claps and bows after each song. haha :)

Unfortunately, I have fallen down my stairs again.

I have a new journal-type book. It's covered in silver duct tape and it has pretty much taken over my life.
Here's a few pages from it..

I'm going to cover my door in foil.
P.S A new zine is in the making!

Check it out the launch party this Thursday (April 3rd 8pm-11pm) at the Mori Gallery (168 Day Street in Sydney... near Bathurst Street/China Town/Darling Harbour area/Town Hall station).
I was checking out the artworks today.. they're great.
